BIOGRAPHY:

According to the 1966 Polk's city directory of Columbus, Austin was the assistant branch manager of the Ohio National Bank.  At one point, the wife of cousin Bill Hutt (son of Thomas Micajah Hutt) worked for Austin.  Austin credits Thomas Micajah Hutt's musical abilities in getting him into an orchestra for several years.

Describing the Waverly homestead of the Hutt clan, Austin recalled Dr. Hutt's home to be a large 2-story house with 4 bedrooms and a bath upstairs, 4 rooms and kitchen downstairs with a doorway leading to a room with a fireplace that served as Dr. Hutt's office -- which also had a separate entrance from the outside.
